Reprogramming your mind can see a little overwhelming at times but it really isn't. It is simply evaluating your life and where you're at, weighing up what's important to you and what isn't and discarding everything that no longer serves a purpose.

You start by being aware of how your current thought patterns and limiting beliefs are holding you back from the life you want to live and the life you feel you deserve. A great way to get rid of those negative thoughts and emotions is through affirmations. A lot of people may feel silly saying things out loud so I found what works in those situations is to say them, loud, in your head. I sometimes do mine during the washing up, skincare routine or even brushing my teeth. I pick 3 to 5 affirmations that I repeat during those times but it is also a great tool to combat any negative thoughts too. For example, if I'm having a bad pain day where I'm unable to do much in the house, I may be beating myself up mentally about it and about how useless I am. I will simply switch those thoughts out for something I am good at and things I have managed to do that day.

Another great tool is visualisation. This can be a little harder for someone just starting as it's not just seeing it in your head, it's about actually seeing yourself in those situations. You want to visualise yourself and your life as you want it to be and see yourself living that life...start showing up as that version of you as much as you can. Even if you are unhappy in some areas of your life and visualising huge changes but it's important to stay humble and grateful for the things you do have. Even if you feel you don't have much you have life. The first thing you should be grateful for when you open your eyes each morning is the very fact you got to open your eyes.

Lastly the one thing you should be doing daily is a little bit of personal development. Be it listening to a podcast, watching a video on YouTube or reading a book. I have a lot of selfcare books but if I want something audible then I will search for podcasts or videos that relate to the area of my life I want some guidance in. You could even attend meetings or seminars if that is more your style too.

These are all things you can do to reprogram your mindset and start building for a better future. And the best part is that all of this is not only controlled by you but is all completely free. You don't need an expensive life coach telling you what to do when you have it all at your fingertips if you are strong-willed enough to be able to go it alone. Coaches are great if you need handholding and direct guidance. You have the power in you for change, I believe in you.
